Juventus confirmed that goalkeeper Kamil Grabara had surgery to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Reports indicate the Poland international could be unavailable for as long as seven months.
The procedure took place at the Guardian Clinic in Konin, carried out by Dr. Andrzej Pyda with Juventus club doctor Dr. Marco Freschi present. The operation required a full reconstruction of the ligament rather than a simpler repair.
Grabara had only recently joined Juventus on loan from VfL Wolfsburg in August, with an option to make the deal permanent. His sole appearance came in the 5-0 Europa League win over NEC Nijmegen.
Coach Luciano Spalletti said the injury happened during a routine training session and was detected through tests at the club's medical center.
To cover the absence, Juventus agreed personal terms with free-agent goalkeeper Neto on a contract running through June 2027.
