Seahawks bring back defensive tackle Uso Seumalo on practice squad

Seattle reunited with the undrafted rookie lineman and added receiver Malick Meiga ahead of Week 3.
The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed defensive tackle Uso Seumalo to their practice squad, according to his representation. The move comes roughly three weeks after the undrafted rookie had been let go from the 16-man unit.
Seumalo trained with Seattle over the summer and survived the initial roster cutdown period only briefly, as he was waived when rosters shrank from 90 to 53 players. He first landed on the practice squad, then lost that spot when the club brought in veteran offensive tackle Bobby Hart, and drew no interest from other teams while available.
Alongside Seumalo, Seattle added wide receiver Malick Meiga, per 3 Down Nation. Meiga entered the league this spring as an undrafted free agent from Coastal Carolina and began his first camp with the Carolina Panthers. The Canadian receiver was waived with an injury designation following the Hall of Fame Game, a contest in which he hauled in one reception for 13 yards.
The additions follow Seattle's decision to promote safety Rodney Thomas II from the practice squad to the active roster. The team was scheduled to practice Wednesday afternoon, giving a first look at both newcomers before Sunday's Week 3 meeting with the Washington Commanders.
