The New Orleans Saints completed their second practice of the week on Thursday as they prepare to host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3. The NFC South club will welcome the Raiders to Caesars Superdome on Sunday, September 27.
Five Saints players did not participate in Thursday's session. Wide receiver Barion Brown sat out with a hamstring issue, cornerback Martin Emerson Jr. is dealing with a shoulder injury, and defensive lineman Christen Miller was sidelined by a toe problem.
Running back Kendre Miller missed practice due to an illness, while defensive tackle Davon Godchaux was given a rest day under the non-injury-related designation.
One notable positive for New Orleans was edge rusher Chase Young, who was a full participant despite a calf issue. Young appeared in the Saints' September 20 game against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium, a 20-6 New Orleans loss.
Linebacker Isaiah Stalbird (shoulder), safety Jonas Sanker (knee), and defensive lineman Nathan Shepherd (hip) also practiced in full on Thursday.
The only limited participant for the Saints was running back Travis Etienne Jr., who is managing a hamstring injury. His workload will be worth monitoring when the final injury report is released before Sunday's kickoff.
On the Las Vegas side, the Raiders' Thursday practice participation list had not yet been made available at the time of the report.
