Ex-Iowa Hawkeyes Deliver Standout NFL Performances in Week 2

Former Iowa stars George Kittle, Amani Hooker, Lukas Van Ness and Riley Moss each produced notable Week 2 efforts for their NFL clubs.

Tight end George Kittle appeared fully recovered in his second outing since tearing an Achilles tendon, catching four passes for 80 yards and a score in the San Francisco 49ers' 35-13 defeat of the Miami Dolphins. He and quarterback Brock Purdy, who played collegiately at Iowa State, were in sync throughout the game.

Tennessee safety Amani Hooker registered a 92-yard pick-six threat in the Titans' 24-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, a takeaway that denied the Eagles points and set up a Tennessee touchdown. The interception was the 13th of his professional career, and he finished with six tackles.

Green Bay edge defender Lukas Van Ness dominated in a 20-17 overtime victory against the New York Jets, recording 10 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three tackles behind the line and four quarterback hits. With Micah Parsons sidelined by injury, Van Ness filled a significant void in the Packers' pass rush.

Cornerback Riley Moss helped the Denver Broncos rally past the Jacksonville Jaguars 20-13 with an interception and three passes broken up to go with two tackles. It marked the third interception of Moss's career, and he has developed into a trusted piece of a strong Denver secondary.
