Isack Hadjar returns from a wrist injury at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix wearing the helmet design originally made for the Dutch Grand Prix.
Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar will return to Formula 1 action at this weekend's Azerbaijan Grand Prix after missing three races with a wrist injury suffered during the summer break. The French-Algerian driver has recovered and is set to take part in Thursday's free practice at the Baku City Circuit.
Rather than retire the custom helmet design commissioned for the Dutch Grand Prix, Hadjar will wear it in Baku. The artwork references his first F1 podium, a third-place finish at the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix with Racing Bulls, where he accidentally broke his Delft Blue trophy during post-race celebrations that drew attention on social media. The design shows the damaged trophy along with a cartoon of his reaction.
Red Bull confirmed the helmet's debut in a social media post on Tuesday, saying the Zandvoort lid would finally appear on track in Baku.
Hadjar, 21, joined Red Bull at the start of the 2026 season, replacing Yuki Tsunoda, and recently signed a contract extension through 2027. He currently sits eighth in the drivers' standings with 71 points, while teammate Max Verstappen is sixth with 145.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix runs from September 24-26 at the Baku City Circuit.
