Florida State head coach Luke Loucks used social media to ask fans whether the Seminoles should bring back an older white uniform design for the 2026-27 season. In a post on X, Loucks wrote that the program is "working on ideas" as it considers its look for next year.

Loucks voiced his own approval of the design, calling it part of a strong era of jerseys and praising the tribal print outline. The white uniforms featured Seminole-inspired patchwork detailing, a design element that has shown up across Florida State athletics in various forms.

Florida State's current uniform identity includes patterns created with the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which the university has described as monochromatic representations of Seminole patchwork symbols.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, and Loucks' posts fall short of an official announcement. Any throwback would land in a season that already includes a uniform change: in August, Florida State announced ReliaQuest as the men's basketball program's first jersey patch partner starting in 2026-27.
